and Rachel SilverbergThis project is an informational poster, meant to accompany an exhibit of 1990s zines. It explores an alternative design history that does not center white men and their impact on the design world. The poster chronicles the Riot Grrrl movement of the 1990s Pacific Northwest, and the DIY graphic design aesthetic of the zines and posters it produced. These zines and posters explored social issues of gender and race, and the poster compiles a brief history of the movement, as well as its impacts on design.
